Web Marketing - Getting the Word Out To Drive Traffic (blog search)
No commentsBy Jackie Lee
Do you have a website? Did you think when you built it you would have visitors? Was it a “if you build it they will come” mentality? You are probably feeling pretty disappointed right now if that’s how you started.
Traffic does not just come because you built a website. It takes some consistent, daily effort to drive traffic to your site.
Here are 4 technique that if used consistently will increase your traffic level.
Blog Comments
The blogosphere is a social place. Great blogs are basically communities in and of themselves. Going to other blogs in your niche and getting involved in the conversation by contributing valuable information will get you some visitors.
This technique when done correctly will also get you good backlinks. You can leave your keyword in the name field of the comment form. This will give you an keyword anchor text link in the comment you leave.
Not all blog owners allow this so get to know the community before you leave keyword comments, and make sure you are leaving a valuable comment.
Link to other blogs from your blog
Every blogger loves to see they are being linked to. Each time you link to another blogger’s post it will send them a little message that someone has referenced them. This is called a trackback.
Many bloggers will follow the trackback link to check out the blog of people who are mentioning them. If they like your blog they may even mention you in a blog post. This can lead to decent traffic especially if it’s a well known blogger.
Most bloggers also publish the trackbacks in their comment section. This will give you another link on that blog, and other readers may follow the link to your site.
Notify Your Opt-In List
You don’t have an opt in list? You should. An opt in list is a list of people who have given you permission to contact them via email.
This list is vital to the ongoing success of a blog to make money. Most people will not purchase from your blog the first time they see an offer. This gives you the opportunity to put yourself in front of that customer over and over again.
So once you have your opt in list going, and you auto responder up and running go ahead and send a message to your list each time you post a new blog post. Many good autoresponders have a feature that will do this for you. All you have to do is check the correct box and add in the RSS link.
Use Your Email Signature
This is a great way to spread the reach of your blog. A signature file is a small bit of text and a link to something that goes out with each and every email you send.
You can have a quick tag line and a link to your blog in your signature. It might be good to ask a question or write a thought provoking statement that will pique the curiosity of the reader to click your link.
As you can see there are tons of ways you can drive traffic to your site. Having so many options is great because it allows you to find strategies you enjoy and can stick with.
It will be through consistent daily action your blog traffic will increase. Find a few traffic driving techniques and stick with them. You will see your traffic improve as time goes on.

Discover the Secret Steps to Success Part 2 of 4
By Dave Clocker
In part 1 of this article, I mentioned to you a mind-boggling blog I had the fortune to cross paths with. As I mentioned, it wasnt a particularly flashy blog, no interesting picture to grab your eyes and lead you in. Nevertheless, the message contained in it had a deep impact and it stayed with me. In the message, I learned some very valuable rules about achieving success in life.
The secrets hidden in Georges writing.
It’s about time! So you want to know the keys to success?. George accurately drove home the message about having balance in your life. He specifically used blogging as an example where he found himself getting caught up in the activity. For those who have blogged, it can be extremely time consuming. George stated that the activity of blogging had a drug-like control over him and he just kept going back for more. Anyways, George’s business began to decline until he awoke to the reality at hand. He questioned it, What’s going on? I would say, it’s more like, What’s not going on! As if he were awakening from a spell, he recognized that his real estate business was declining because he was spending too much time blogging.
What’s the big deal?
I already know that. Yes, you may know the importance of having balance in your life, but it may still be in your subconscious mind. Most individuals, has it happened to you where because you are immersed in a pressing life situation, you dont really have an accurate perspective of yourself from the outside? Your thoughts are not as clear. In order to live your life with balance, your need to section up the different parts of your life and know that each activity has its own space and time. So although blogging can be interesting and fun,you should not spend too much time in one activity at the risk of neglecting the other items in your life, like your family. It may be hazardous to your life if you let it.
Those just starting out in their career and even those who have worked for years can see the relevance of the takeaway concept.. Didn’t I tell you that at the beginning? This is more so for newbies as it can be used as a preventive measure for them to gauge before getting caught up and lost within the rainforest. There are only 24 hours in a day and we are what we do daily. At this point, you’ve impressed me if you have read this far. I am honored. Thank you.
You’ve read 1/2 of this 4 part series by now. I know there are those of you who at this point would want to back out and I completely know why you are doing so. When the going gets tough, it takes a lot of gall to weather through to the end. As I’ve stated at the preface, this is not an article for everyone. In writing this article, I have chosen to leave it this long for a purpose….a purpose that is concealed within this article.
Your forge ahead style is a great asset, and Ill take a brief break to cheer you on. (Not that you need it since you have already gone a long way and shown your inner drive, but here it goes). You’re doing great and almost near the end of this article! That’s it! Youve got that fire within you! Never ever give up!! Keep reading! C’mon! I believe in you! Don’t you quit on me now! Give me all you’ve got! I know you can do it! Never give up!!
You wont want to misspart 3 of this 4 part series where youll find out the one item in the ladder of success that many people have used everyday to produce lasting results.

Web Marketing - 4 Things You Can Do On Your Site To Increase Your Traffic
By Jackie Lee
Making your site attract traffic is one of the best ways you can use to drive traffic to your site. Of course there are plenty of things you can do off site, but why not start with these 4 on page techniques to drive traffic?
Keyword Research
If you choose good keywords to base your posts on you will find you attract very targeted traffic. You can make a large list of keywords related to your site and then choose keywords each time you are ready to post to write about.
Customize Your Blog
This won’t necessarily drive traffic to your site, but once you get them there it will help keep them there. A blog that is unique to you and your content is going to make people immediately believe your content is unique and worth reading.
Even if all you do is pick a theme other than the default theme you are on your way. You can take is as far as changing the header image, to having an entirely unique theme created just for your site.
Answer Reader’s Questions
Once you start getting traffic you will start getting questions. They will show up in comments, as well as your email box.
When you answer questions from your readers it makes them feel good, and when they feel good about you they feel good about your site. They will then tell their friends about your answer, and your site.
A trusted referral is probably the best traffic you can get. They will already be open to knowing, liking and trusting you, which makes buying from you even easier.
Create a Link List aka Linkbait
If you are blogging about your topic you probably know plenty about it, if not you can easily do a little research and find the information. What you want to do is create a list, the longer the better related to your blog topic. Start leaving comments on blogs, use this post in your signature on forums, just get people to your link list.
Linkbait is called this because it baits people into linking to your site to share this huge list with others. You can get untold amounts of links, quality links, back to your site by using this method.
If you start working on driving traffic from on page efforts the off page efforts will be even easier. If you customize your blog, do your keyword research, and answer questions you will gain favor of your readers. Create a linkbait post and you will find that good will and your quality content turns into quality links.
Stop by to create an effective web marketing strategy and learn to add building links to your web marketing plan.
